Terms of Sale

Last updated: October 2026

Who we are

EdgeBar is a macOS application made and sold by Yaabot Media LLP ("we", "us"). These terms apply when you buy or use EdgeBar. You can reach us at hello@ymedia.io.

What you are buying

EdgeBar is sold as a one-time purchase of a personal license: you pay once and may use EdgeBar on one Mac at a time. You can move your license to another Mac by choosing Deactivate This Mac in EdgeBar, or at edgebar.xyz/manage. The price includes free updates within the 1.x versions. A later major version (2.0 or above) may be sold separately.

Payment

Orders are processed by Gumroad (Gumroad, Inc.), which takes your payment and sends your receipt. Your purchase is also subject to Gumroad's Terms of Service. Any applicable taxes are shown at checkout. After payment, Gumroad emails you a license key in your receipt. Keep that key private: it is yours alone.

Using your license

To enforce the one-Mac limit, EdgeBar checks your key with our server when you activate it and about once a day afterwards, as described in our Privacy Policy. You may not copy, sell, share or publish your license key, build a service that issues or checks EdgeBar keys, or remove or bypass the license check. You may not reverse engineer or redistribute EdgeBar, except where the law says you may despite this clause. We may stop honoring keys that are shared or published.

How EdgeBar works with macOS

EdgeBar reads trackpad touches and adjusts system volume and display brightness using macOS system features, some of which Apple does not document. A future macOS update may change or break that behavior. We will make reasonable efforts to keep EdgeBar working but cannot promise it will work on every Mac or every macOS version. Requires macOS 13 Ventura or later.

Refunds

Refunds are covered in our Refund Policy.

No warranty

EdgeBar is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we do not give any warranty that it will be error free or fit for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms limits rights that the law says cannot be limited.

Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim about EdgeBar is limited to the price you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss such as lost data or lost profits.

Changes and law

We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. These terms are governed by the laws of India, without affecting any consumer rights you have in the country where you live.
